| Stroke Patient airlifted to New York |

An 81 year old patient who suffered a serious stroke was hospitalized in the ICU of a Tucson, Arizona hospital. His children wanted to have him in a hospital closer to home, where he would be among family and receive the best possible care and rehabilitation. They turned to VitalOne, requesting help with transferring the patient to Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
VitalOne arranged a bed to bed transfer with ICU level of care along the way. The patient was kept on a ventilator and under close observation during the entire flight. At 1:30 a.m., the patient landed in Teterboro Airport and was promptly taken to Mount Sinai Medical ICU. The successful transfer brought the patient closer to his family and to the best medical care available for his condition. |
