A 44-year-old patient suffering from numerous medical complications was in urgent need of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), a highly advanced medical device that is not available in all hospitals. The patient was unstable with fluctuating vital signs, and needed to be transferred immediately from New York to the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Cardiac ICU, where he would be able to receive the highest level of critical care.
VitalOne undertook this lifesaving mission and got the transfer under way. The Cleavland Clinic medical transport team, consisting of a critical care physician and two nurse practitioners, were quickly coordinated. VitalOne was there all along the way, taking care of all technicalities and smoothing the entire process, ensuring the best possible outcome for the patient. |
