| Fighting For Survival |
An 18-year-old fighting leukemia was almost out of the woods, but then suffered a serious relapse. The patient was in critical condition and in need of an urgent bone marrow transplant. The world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota was chosen as the patient’s best option. After being contacted by the family, VitalOne arranged all the logistics to ensure a smooth transfer process. A critical care team was aboard the 2 ½ hour flight, providing expert care for the patient until arrival. VitalOne simplified the complicated inter-facility transfer, ensuring the patient’s utmost comfort and safety .
